Surprisingly Engaging
Not being a soccer fan I had expected the book to be about as boring as watching 22 grown men run from one end of a big field to the other culminating in "Oh that was close" for 90 minutes. But as my wife often reminds me, 'Wrong again!"

The story was a fast paced page turner.

It could actually have been made into 3 different books. The plot is divided among 3 isolated stories accidentally connected only by the game of soccer and what it has become.

I strongly recommend this book.
