At 36th page I had to throw away the book out of anger and frustration that the author has been so blind and stupid! Then I say to myself, what an intense love story man..For us it is a story but think about him or her, its their life you see!! I had to run 2 miles middle of the night to a off-licence to grab another bottle of vodka !!!

Brutally honest and very real review of life of ladyboys working in bars in LOS. Of course the bars and the night life is not what LOS is all about but it is still a important part of most farang's exposure or engagement in LOS

Falling in love with a bar LB or falling-out? Read this :-) May be for getting to know a state of relationship you'll probably never get to know or simply for entertainment!

If you are one of those who judge others you might find the author something like a whorist, poet, saint, sinister, pimp, opportunist, lover, master or whatever - but he wouldn't give a fck what others think :-)

all i can say is - he is hell of an author !!!

Whether you are thinking about going to meet the fascinating Thai ladyboys or are have already experienced their company, you will undoubtedly learn from this book. It is written by a man who has been there, done it, is still doing it and is willing to share a wealth of insightful knowledge.

The writer sometimes flips between times and girls with no notice but you just hang in there and overlook this as he succeeds in painting a vivid picture of life among the ladyboys.

Mr Bonnie avoids lecturing on the subject and uses his personal tales of love and lust to take us into the ladyboys’ world. By weaving some of his conversations with his katoey friends into the explicitly recounted tales of his sexual exploits, he also allows us to learn about the poverty and hardships which form their backgrounds and we are left with no illusions about their being just “guys in frocks”. These are real women born into men’s bodies – 'ladies of the second kind' - and their lives are not easy!

While avoiding folklore and talking only of his personal expriences, Mr Bonnie, perhaps unconsciously, uses his own love affair to indicate what falling for a ladyboy can do to a man. They are 'same same - but different' so tread carefully if you believe that you can play around with these exciting ladies. Treat then well and they will love you like no women want to, but cross them and they will eat you up and spit out the bones. Are you man enough to meet them?

You might find out by reading this highly recommended book.

Try and get a grip on reality in that tiny mind of yours Tony.

You have no idea what you are going on about. Here is a man that betrays his friends, his family but most of all betrays himself. A man that will do any thing for his own sexual self gratification.

I bet the day you were born Tony that your parents were so proud. Only god knows what they thing of you now. That's if they thing anything of you at all.

As for Dave a man of high morals.

Tony tries to put down bad reviews as he lost a free trip to Thailand as he tried to blag sky television he was in a relationship with a ladyboy. He tried so hard to get one on Facebook but she saw through him.

Tony ward you are a fool. now stop trying to put a good man down while making a fool out of yourself.

A great writer and I can identify with so many of the things related. I can't get what on earth the farang threw in the water though? It is troubling me because I can think of two many possibilities.
Great story and even better that it's true. I've only been to Thailand once but spent it with 1 Ladyboy. And I can relate to the feelings. I wondered how I could be falling for this LB so easily, but now see it's a common thing. I think if I'd have been with her much longer, I'd be trying to support her and have a real relationship with her. I have no idea what I'd have then done with my girlfriend here in the states. Great read.
Could totally relate to the part about wondering if LadyBoys had something else to offer in a relationship since the ones with women don't always work out. I tried many times, and to me it is the same B.S (same same, but different.) Now, it's just "I'll take love wherever I can get it" kind of attitude. But
I know every feeling you describe. Very nice writing, I love the simile "like looking at a Botticelli." This is almost too good. If you're making this up, I will hunt you down. For the moment, I will suspend disbelief and let myself be sucked into your story. Jason (online review)
