Thai ladies shoot back in this adventurous cartoon book. It makes no difference if you are new to Pattaya, Thailand, or if you are an expat living here, you have been shot and hit!
If you are visiting Thailand for the first time this book may appear to be a funny book of fiction. If you have been visiting two weeks or more you may think this book is a hysterical historical novel. If you live here, if you are married to a Thai, own your home, own a car, if you have bought all “that” gold, and if you have a girl friend on the side, you may recognize this book as your unauthorized biography.
The ideas for the cartoons came from the author’s experiences and the experiences of his friends. It didn’t take long to learn everyone who lives here has gone through the same experiences in four phases… There is the honey moon phase where nothing could be better. In the second phase you become aware that things are not always what they seem to be. The third phase is where you learn there is nothing you can do to change what needs to be changed and the fourth phase is where you learn to live with it… and enjoy the ride…
It gets even better. This is just volume I of III volumes.
All the cartoons have been published individually in Thailand but this is the first time in a book. Now the reader can appreciate the full gamut found inside the “Thai” experience the way we all have…. Laugh at us, laugh at you and me, and laugh at all of those people who have planted themselves into this culture…

UP TO YOU
This is an hilarious collection of deeply subversive cartoons that might easily earn Al Reynold's dick a visit to the local duck pond.
I haven't laughed so much since granddad's funeral.
Beg, borrow or steal a copy, or even as a last resort buy a copy and chuckle your way through its beautifully rendered artwork and insights into expat living in the Land of Smiles.

Up to You! cartoon books
These are wonderful!!! OK, maybe Al Reynoldsa isn’t Al Capp or Shel Silverstein, and maybe these cartoons aren’t The Far Side. But, for my money, they are a darn site better than the average drivel one sees in the daily paper (which puts them light years ahead of most cartoons on this subject). And, maybe some of the humor is a bit desafinado or off beat – wait a second, maybe these are a bit far side! Thank you, Mr. Reynoldsa.
Oh, and one more thing: the artwork and color is beyond most cartoons. You can tell that Mr. Reynoldsa’s treats his work as his children.

Three birds out of one stone...
Without art, the world would look and feel like the Sahara, bare, boring, and dry.
Therefore, it becomes for each of us and according to our financial capacity, a moral obligation to support art. At a special introductory price of 149 B for ‘’Up to you!’’ any excuses to not indulge have melted in the scorching Sahara sun. (One bird down) and if you’re an expat in Thailand, this kind of art could decorate your heart and make you smile (two birds down)

If you been to thailand as a single dude ..
You will understand what Al is writing about..
or been in a mixed up relationship with a local Gal
Al takes the seriousness of a relationship and laughs in it's face...Why not we will probably repeat it time and time again..

Up to you!
Reynolds is a master of the understatement. His juxtaposition of the sublime and the ridiculous encapsulates the essence of the farang/girlfriend experience. Perceptive and canny in his observations of this unusual way of life . Well worth the read and all the laughter which will inevitably follow..
