I have lived in both the east and the west. And for that I have a much broader picture of the world in which we live. It is those pictures that I draw upon to write fiction and nonfiction. My home is on the edge of the jungle, where song birds entertain me in the morning. I am granted 365-days of summer like weather, and have the balcony I dreamed of, where I can write and look out at the world that grants me experiences in which few people will ever discover. This is where I prefer to spend most of my time.On those odd days I volunteer as an English teacher, at an orphanage, not far from where I live. Those children of the world tug at my heart strings for attention as a surrogate uncle of grandpa. They speak little English and I speak little Thai. But in our conversations I find a wealth of stories yet to be discovered.
