Fear and loathing opinion
" The writer is totally spot on regarding Pattaya and safety...I have lived here eight years andchadcseveral relationships, and my money has not been harmed, nor have I in this city. That being said the author is correct regarding many who come here from naive western more sheltered environments.. For many , just remembering the old saw about there being " no fool like an old fool", should help defend themselves from opportunistic young women. Are they not everywhere in this world??? Here we must only remember we are being entertained , not loved in the ways we expect and had in our youth. In fact, even the young foreigner seldom gets love here in this very different culture.. It is great entertainment and if, one wants , they can rent a wife."
